Townsend was established in 1947 as domestic electrical contractors. Since that time the business has grown and evolved into one of the area’s largest multi-disciplined contract companies providing electrical, instrumentation and mechanical services to the chemical, industrial, commercial and public sectors.

Employing 35 staff across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, gas and building installation disciplines the business provides its services to the Humber Bank industries, ports and docks, manufacturing, commercial and public sector organisations throughout Lincolnshire, the Humber region and nationally.

We are perhaps best known for our EIM (Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical) services but a large part of our business is also Facilities Maintenance and Management, especially for housing associations and Local Authorities. We currently look after over 4,500 properties and as such are able to provide a wide range of services for our clients from specialist electrical design projects through to general maintenance and even cleaning services.
